SAM hosted a roundtable meeting with the delegation of the Poland MFA
On November 8, 2018, the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAM) held a roundtable discussion titled “Azerbaijan-Poland relations within the framework of Azerbaijan’s relations with EU” with the presence of Mr. Bartosz Cichochki, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland. The collaborated roundtable was an informative platform for representatives of local and foreign expert community to discuss political and economic, as well as energy and security aspects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Poland.
SAM`s Director Farhad Mammadov welcomed the participants and has noted that the strategic partnership between two countries creates an appropriate platform for mutual dialogue and bilateral cooperation. Reminding that Poland is one of the major partners supporting the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan at the international level, Mr. Mammadov has also expressed his willing that bilateral relations will develop in a positive direction.
The discussion was followed by the speech of Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, Mr. Bartosz Chiotzczyk. Mr.Chiotzczyk has touched the multidimensional relations between Azerbaijan and Poland and emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation in economic, transport and energy spheres. Mr.Chiotzczyk came to an end that digital connectivity and partnership in education spheres will further expand inter-partnership collaboration amongst countries.
Later, the head of the SAM`s Foreign Policy Analysis Department Cavid Valiyev and Research fellows — Orkhan Bagirov and Mahir Humbatov have delivered speeches in the panels dedicated to the topics of security, energy and transport issues, as well as creating political dialogue.
The roundtable discussion has concluded with Q&A session and Farhad Mammadov`s concluding remarks.
